Thrush is a harmless yeast infection that affects most people at least once in their life time, believe it or not, the most common complaint females visit the doctor is for thrush! Anything can set our delicate body’s off into haywire such as different shampoo or washing powder. But before you rush off to get chemicals there are home natural remedies that work well but first lets visit the symptoms list of thrush;
Symptoms of vaginal thrush
vaginal discomfort – itching or burning.
a thick, white discharge with a 'cottage cheese' appearance and yeasty smell.
redness or swelling of the vagina or vulva.
splits in the genital skin.
stinging or burning while urinating or during sex.
Thrush symptoms in men
irritation, burning and redness around the head of the penis and under the foreskin
a white discharge (like cottage cheese)
an unpleasant smell
difficulty pulling back the foreskin
Thrush in other areas
Thrush can affect other areas of skin, such as the armpits, groin and between the fingers.
This usually causes a red, itchy or painful rash that scales over with white or yellow discharge. The rash may not be so obvious on darker skin.
Home Remedies
The most effective home remedy for thrush is Organic Coconut Oil! Coconut oil has anti fungal and anti bacterial properties and it is safe enough to eat or insert inside of the vagina!
Application to vagina; rub some coconut oil on a tampon and insert for 4-5 hours. Or empty the tampon applicator fill it with coconut oil and insert. Repeat daily for 5-7 days. If symptoms still persist seek a visit to a Health Care Professional.
Application to penis; rub some of the coconut oil directly on the genitals daily 5-7 days. If symptoms still persist seek a visit to a Health Care Professional.
All other areas of body excluding eyes, inside of mouth and nose, mix coconut oil with tea tree oil and rub directly onto the skin.
